What is the difference between Resin Bonded and Resin Bound Application?

Resin bound application involves covering the natural aggregate with a clear UV Resin and thoroughly mixing it together in a special upright mixer to ensure that each individual piece of stone is completely covered in the specifically made Resin. the resin coated aggregates are then applied immediately to a stable surface, tarmac / concrete or eco grids to a depth of 18mm. When the resin is applied and cured it will allow the excess water to permeate striaght through it if the surface bellow is also permeable.

Is it easy to clean?

Your new resin bound surface will look like new for a minimum of 10 years with a yearly power wash,  There is no loose stone to worry about so regular sweeping and occasional power washing will keep it looking nice and clean, 

How much does it cost?

How is the Resin bound surface permeable?

During the mixing process we ensure that each individual piece of stone is completely coated in resin, allowing the stones to bond together securely, whilst creating small cavities for the water or liquid to drain through.

Will the Resin fade in the sunlight?

No. if UV Resin is used this prevents any discolouration or fading from sunlight. some of the buff coloured stone mixes wont fade in the sunlight so we can use a non uv Resin which will also save some money fo the install and material costs. 

How long before I can drive my car on it?

Our resin bound surfaces are suitable for use after 6-8 hours for pedestrians and 16-24 hours for all small vehicles. For heavier vehicles, we recommend 24-48 hours to ensure the surface has completely cured.

How long does it last?

Our Resin Bound Surfaces with full groundworks come with a guarantee, surfaces laid over an existing base are subjected to a guarantee, however the Resin technology suggests it will last in excess of 20+ years.
